Central member Jhapat Rawal is unhappy after UML did not field a candidate in Kailali constituency number 2. Rawal is unhappy that the central leadership did not give him a ticket even after he was recommended by the party's constituency and district committee.

Rawal expressed his dissatisfaction on social media on Sunday over not getting a ticket. UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli had decided to field Surya Bahadur Thapa as a candidate in Kailali-2. Rawal says that this decision was made by stopping him.

'The Kailali Constituency No. 2 Coordination Committee had recommended the names of three people including me by voice vote. Earlier, when I was elected from this constituency and was in Parliament, I did not do anything that would make the people bow their heads, but firmly played my role in favor of development and good governance,' Rawal is dissatisfied. 'I am confident that I have succeeded in winning the hearts of the voters because I have always been with the people in their sorrows and joys and worked day and night for development work. Therefore, my claim for the upcoming election on Falgun 21 was not only natural, but also people-based and fair. But this time, there has been a collective effort to stop me by creating a planned psychological environment, which has achieved temporary success.'

Rawal says that there is a systematic attempt to stop competitors in politics. 'Although it has hurt me, it has not disturbed me,' says Rawal.

Rawal has written that he will accept the party's decision even if he does not get a ticket. 'I am firm in the belief that the party's decision is supreme. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the comrades and candidates who have succeeded in the decision of the party leadership and wish them a successful tenure,' he says.

Rawal was elected from Ishwor Pokharel's panel at the UML general convention held recently. He was elected as an open central member.
