Shah is preparing to file his candidacy for the House of Representatives elections. He has made it clear that he will not resign immediately, saying that the position will automatically become vacant after the registration of candidacy as per the legal provisions.
Shah is preparing to contest the election from Jhapa-5. He is scheduled to attend the central office of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) on Sunday and then go to Janakpur for the election campaign.
