Leader Koirala, who did not attend the Deuba faction meeting, says - 'Now we must move forward as one under the leadership of Chairman Thapa'

Nepali Congress central member Dinesh Koirala, who has been raising his voice in Chitwan saying that "people should be allowed to vote in trees" in every election, did not attend the meeting of party president Sher Bahadur Deuba's faction held in Sanepa on Saturday.

Koirala said that the party should be united and move forward according to the decision of the Election Commission, and he did not attend the meeting.

'We should move forward by respecting the old leader as a guardian. We were discussing the issue of not allowing the party to split,' Koirala said, 'There is no need for a meeting now after the Election Commission has made the decision.' According to him, in the context of Gagan Thapa becoming the party president, there is a need for the Congress to unite and move forward in the upcoming elections under Thapa's leadership.

He was even expelled from the party after he ran against the party's instructions in Chitwan Constituency No. 3 in the 2079 elections. He is considered a close leader of Shekhar Koirala.
