Pradeep Poudel, General Secretary of the Gagan Thapa faction of the Nepali Congress, has responded to the issue of Deuba faction leaders protesting against the law and statute, and has requested them not to do so.

He said that the Deuba faction had been saying that they should hold a general convention for three months, but they had spent two months in the meeting. He also questioned whether they would protest if they followed the rules. He said, 'If it follows the rules, can we say that we will protest? If the statute is implemented, can we say that we will protest? Respecting the respected leader, tell me what I say. This is how the Nepali Congress ran according to the rules. The rights of the Nepali Congress general convention representatives were exercised. It should not be exercised, can we say that we will protest against that?'
