They have said that they have not been able to stop national and international interests that want to weaken the Congress.
Issuing an appeal today, leader Koirala mentioned that he had to go through many visible and invisible contradictions in the meantime. 'Many national and international conspiracies were woven in the capital and we could not stop the interests of those who wanted to weaken the Congress,' he said.
Koirala mentioned that despite everyone's sincere efforts to unite the Congress and face the upcoming elections, that could not happen. 'Our earnest efforts to keep the Congress united did not succeed. I do not want to further tarnish national politics by saying who is guilty and who is innocent behind this. I have no hesitation in accepting that we have all made mistakes somewhere or the other.'
Recalling that some individuals and groups had abandoned BP Koirala, he said, 'BP Koirala believed in destiny. I understand the fact that the Congress is unable to move forward together today as a harsh truth of that destiny.'
Stating that they have the responsibility of going to the upcoming elections and protecting the pride of the eight-decade-long history of the Congress, Koirala has said that only by unleashing the organizational energy of the Congress can they fulfill the responsibility given by history and senior leaders.
Stating that the process of reforms to be done within the party will not be stopped, Koirala has called, 'Let us all return home, return to the Congress. There is no winner or loser here, we can move forward in a win-win situation for everyone.' Referring to the context of having to go door-to-door to seek votes for the people, he has said that he will try to be in the election campaign of the Congress as much as possible, even if it is for a short time.
