Thapa also said that a meeting of the Congress will be held tomorrow and that he will go to the Election Commission and get an update. 'With that, the ambiguities within the Congress will end,' he said, 'This is the biggest intervention by a grassroots cadre of any party.'

Gagan Thapa, who was elected as the president of the Congress by the supporters of the special general convention, has said that the Congress is now free from all forms of nepotism.
Addressing the special general convention on Wednesday night, he said, 'Now the Nepali Congress is free from all factions.' He also said that a party that has died of questions cannot go out and do justice.
Thapa claimed that all active members and the president of the Congress are equal and a new tradition has begun. 'Now the chapter of Sher Bahadur Deuba is over,' he said, 'I told Deuba to decide who to make the Prime Minister and the party president. I told him the same thing this morning too.'
He urged him to take a decision to put the party in the right place, but he said that it did not happen. Finally, he asked, 'Was it a crime to say so?'
Thapa also said that the Congress will hold a meeting tomorrow and that he will go to the Election Commission to get an update. 'With that, the ambiguities within the Congress will end,' he said, 'This is the biggest intervention by a grassroots worker of any party.'
The supporters of the special general convention have elected 13 office bearers and 121 central members, including Gagan Thapa, as the president. Bishwaprakash Sharma congratulated Gagan Thapa by garlanding him with a dubo garland.
