Since the party's special general convention has elected a new leadership, they will submit an application to the Election Commission today for updating documents and other tasks. They will inform that the special general convention has been completed as per the party's statute and that a new leadership has also been elected.
The Congress special general convention unanimously elected office bearers and the central committee under the leadership of Thapa on Wednesday night. If the commission accepts their application and updates it, they will legally become the Nepali Congress.
Another vice president, Pushpa Bhusal, is also in the team.
