The special general convention of the Nepali Congress held at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu from December 10 has elected 13 office bearers and 121 central members, including Gagan Thapa, as the president. This list has been given to the election committee. The committee is preparing to announce the list.

After three days of failed efforts to prevent a split in the Congress, the general convention has elected a new central working committee.
