Poudel, who is in discussions with President Sher Bahadur Deuba and leader Shekhar Koirala and supporters of the special general convention on behalf of General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma to resolve the party dispute, made the statement public.
He said, "The special general convention created by the compelling situation will further unite the Nepali Congress with a clear transformative policy and leadership. We are united, transformed and all in favor of the Nepali Congress."
The special general convention of the Nepali Congress has been ongoing in Kathmandu for three days. The establishment party is not participating in it. The establishment party has called a meeting of the central committee on Tuesday.
