The central members who have been integrated into the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) have taken the oath.
Although the Maoist Center and the Unified Socialist Party united in the third week of Kartik, 2,499 people took the oath after the merger on Tuesday. Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal administered the oath to the central members through virtual means to those present at the party central office, Pesisdanda, and those outside.
After administering the oath, Dahal said that the party unity would be further enhanced. ‘Unity will be further enhanced and made vast,’ Dahal said, ‘We are together with pride.’
Dahal also said that the aim was to achieve a broad left unity.
