Janata Samajwadi Party Vice President Shivlal Thapa Group has merged with the Nepali Communist Party. Similarly, the Limbuwan Communist Party and the NCP have also merged. Including these two, 19 parties have merged with the NCP. Earlier, the NCP was formed by 17 parties including the Maoist Center, Unified Socialist Party, and Nepal Socialist Party.

The agreement was signed at the NCP Central Office on Monday between NCP Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Co-Coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal and JSP Nepal Vice President Thapa.

The Limbuwan Revolutionary Party has united to advance the issue of Limbuwan’s identity. "It was agreed to unite on the following points among the Limbuwan Revolutionary Party, a party raising the issue of Limbuwan's identity," the agreement signed by Dahal, Nepal, and Limbuwan Chairman Manish Limbu states. "It was agreed to respectfully adjust all levels of the Limbuwan Revolutionary Party committees in the above manner."
