The Election Commission has urged those whose names were on the closed list submitted on Poush 13 and 14 for the House of Representatives elections scheduled for 21 Falgun to apply if they wish to withdraw their names.
The Commission has issued a notice on Sunday and urged the parties to withdraw their names by reaching the Commission on the 28th. ‘If the candidates whose names are included in the closed list wish to withdraw their names, they can submit an application in the format as per Schedule 18 of the Proportional Election Guidelines for Members of the House of Representatives, 2082,’ the Commission’s notice said. ‘If the concerned candidate is unable to appear for any reason, an application can be submitted to withdraw his/her name even through a letter.’
The Commission has urged the parties to submit applications to the office of the Proportional Election Officer of the Election Commission from 10 am to 4 pm.
The Commission had given the parties a date to correct the closed list till today. After the parties corrected and submitted the list, the Commission has published a notice for those withdrawing their names.
