Bajrang Nepali, a member of the Congress Mahottari Mahasamiti, has said that the special general convention will weaken factionalism within the party.

Speaking at the inaugural session of the general convention that began on Sunday at Bhriktimandap, he said that he was confident of putting an end to factionalism within the party.

He said, 'Honorable friends, we have a situation to accept. We have a situation to understand. There is extreme factionalism within our party. It is in a state of extreme conflict. And, since factionalism is based on struggle and distrust, this special general convention will give a new direction from here. It will weaken factionalism. I want to assure you that extreme factionalism and temporary factionalism will be put to an end.'
