What you should know

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Rabi Lamichhane has briefed the party secretariat meeting about the breakdown of the agreement with Kulman Ghising, the patron of Ujjaya Nepal. Lamichhane had informed the virtual meeting of the secretariat that it is now impossible to move forward unitedly as Ghising is changing his demands day by day.

According to two members of the RSVP secretariat, Kulman has been putting forward new demands since the day the agreement was reached on Poush 14. Ghising had said that he had reached an agreement with Balendra Shah and Kulman Ghising with the idea of forming a good party, and that he had taken the initiative to reach an agreement since he was in Nakkhu prison, but in the end, it was not possible to go together.

Ravi had told the secretariat meeting that after Kulman left the government minister post and agreed to be the deputy chairman of the party, he had been putting up new demands every day. 'Kulman used to bring up new things every day. One demand was fulfilled, the next day another demand was brought up. In that too, demands like what is my share, what will happen to me, how many of my people will be placed where,' Lamichhane had briefed the secretariat meeting, 'Balen gave the names of the people to be placed in the central committee. The process moved forward. But after Kulman gave his name in the proportional representation, he said, "Let's do the work without saying 'yours or mine'," and instead made the issue of division and power the main focus.' Lamichhane had briefed Kulman that he did not accept the proposal to assign Ravi to the party, Balen to the government, and Kulman to the responsibility of physical infrastructure and other tasks. 'While discussing the distribution of work among the three leaders, it was agreed that Ravi would handle the party and Balen would handle the government. Kulman would not accept the idea of assigning the responsibility of transforming physical infrastructure according to his expertise. After talking about what and where I will be, no agreement was reached,' said a secretariat member, referring to Lamichhane's briefing. Recently, Ghising had demanded to know how many proportional MPs would be guaranteed on his behalf and how many would be directly elected. Similarly, the party's senior vice president, general secretary and more than 30 central members had demanded .

Along with this briefing, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) had decided not to ratify the agreement with Ujjaj Nepal. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) secretariat member Shishir Khanal said, 'The secretariat has decided not to ratify the agreement reached with Ujjaj Nepal on Poush 14.'
