General convention delegates and cadres from various districts have started gathering in the Bhrikuti Mandap area for the special general convention of the Nepali Congress.
As delegates from various districts of the country started arriving in Kathmandu, the hustle and bustle around the convention venue has increased.
Central member Ajay Babu Shiwakoti said that delegates have gradually started arriving at Bhrikutimandap for the special convention to be held on Sunday and Monday. He informed that the presence of delegates and workers has started increasing as the stage construction, hall decoration and technical preparations are reaching the final stages.
According to the convention management committee, the work related to delegate registration, distribution of identity cards and accommodation coordination has also intensified since yesterday. As the delegates started arriving, the venue management has been made more efficient by mobilizing volunteers, said Susan Vaidya, member secretary of the public mobilization committee.
