Prime Minister Sushila Karki has handed over the responsibility of the ministry to other members of the current Council of Ministers after Kulman Ghising, who was handling the responsibilities of three ministries, resigned from his post.

According to a statement issued by the President's Office on Thursday, Anil Kumar Sinha, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies; Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs; and Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, will also hold the charge of the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation. Similarly, Minister for Forest and Environment Madhav Prasad Chaulagain will also hold the charge of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, and Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Kumar Ingham will also hold the charge of the Ministry of Urban Development. The statement issued by the President states that the Prime Minister has assigned them the responsibility.
