Srijana, recommended by 'Balendra Team', withdraws her proportional representation candidacy

'Solo traveler' Sirjana Oli, active in social media and the tourism sector, has withdrawn her name from the proportional closed list of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Oli, who was included in the closed list of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on the recommendation of Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah's team, has withdrawn her candidacy, making it clear that she will not enter active politics. Speaking to Kantipur, she said, 'I withdrew my candidacy after consulting Balendra Shah's team. I have decided not to enter politics to work in my own field.'

Oli, who has been promoting tourism by visiting remote areas of the country for a long time, made her decision public through social media. She said the main reason for withdrawing her name was to focus on her work in the tourism sector.

She mentioned that while she was traveling on the Mid-Hill Highway, she received an offer from Balendra Shah's team for a proportional list. "I couldn't say 'no' in a hurry, considering it an opportunity to contribute to the country," she wrote, "but thinking back, I realized that this decision was a bit hasty."

She clarified that there was a delay of a few days in informing about the withdrawal of her name due to travel and some technical problems.
