Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Bhupdev Shah, who is also the chief personal secretary to Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah, has claimed that the agreements made with Gen-Gs will be implemented after the Balendra Shah-led government comes to power.
Speaking on Kantipur Television's weekly program, Shah claimed that Balendra will also become the Prime Minister on Falgun 25.
Similarly, he informed that preparations are underway to have Balendra Shah contest the upcoming House of Representatives elections from one of Jhapa-5, Mahottari or Kathmandu-2. Shah said, 'I will tell you the three options that I am aware of, the first is Jhapa-5, the second is Mahottari and the third is Kathmandu-2.'
He also claimed in the program that Balendra Shah will be the next Prime Minister. Arguing that KP Oli should be stopped from entering the parliament, he said that Balen can contest the election from Jhapa-5 for that too. In the context of Balendra Shah not having gone to the party office yet, he informed that he will resign from the post of Metropolitan Mayor in the first week of Falgun and will go to the party office.
In another context, he said that he agreed with the Prime Minister's statement that since the current government is a civilian government, the ministers in the party should resign. But he claimed that he was not aware of which ministers had joined political parties. He claimed that he was not aware of the agreement with Kulman Ghisingh and therefore did not know whether he had joined politics. The program will be broadcast on Kantipur Television at 10 pm tonight and on Kantipur Television's YouTube channel at 9 pm.
