Applications to become a direct candidate in the upcoming House of Representatives elections on behalf of the National Independent Party can be submitted until December 26.

According to Rashtriya Swatantra Party spokesperson Manish Jha, those aspiring to become direct candidates will have to apply through a mobile app. 'The last date for filing candidacies to participate in the party's internal candidate selection process for the first-past-the-post election system for the House of Representatives is 12 midnight on Poush 26. Candidacies can be filed through the Rastriya Swatantra Party's mobile app,' Jha said. 

The Rashtriya Swatantra Party had earlier issued a notice that those who wish to become direct candidates can participate in the internal candidate selection process by paying Rs 25,000 to the party.
