Central member Min Bahadur Shahi has been elected as the head of the CPN-UML Publicity and Publication Department.

The party's secretariat meeting held on Tuesday decided to give Shahi the responsibility of campaign coordination. Shahi, a resident of Kalikot, entered the mainstream of UML politics from the background of a community radio operator. 

Shahi was the founder of the Community Information Network and served as the president of the Community Radio Broadcasters Association (ACORYAB) for two terms. Shahi is the co-president of the Community Radio World Organization. 

Shahi was elected a party central member at the 11th general convention.
