Entrepreneur Vidushi Rana has said that she has filed her candidacy for the proportional representation (PR) seat in the upcoming House of Representatives elections out of a sense of responsibility for the future generation.
Kiran Suj Manufacturing Executive Director Rana clarified on Sunday that her name was included in the proportional list, saying that the proportional list is not her right but the responsibility of the future generation. Her name is included in the proportional list of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for women. 'The proportional list is not my right, it is a responsibility. I have come here with the voice of the future generation,' she wrote on social media, 'I have never moved forward with personal political ambitions and my identity is not politics but industry, production and labor.'
She said that she agreed to run for the proportional list at the request of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah, and if elected, she would bring her voice with experience on industry, employment and economic issues to the parliament.
