Senior leader of the Nepali Congress, Dr. Shekhar Koirala, has interacted with party office bearers, central members, district presidents and other leaders in Kathmandu to seek their opinions on the latest situation within the party.
At Dr. Koirala's liaison office in Bishalnagar, a detailed discussion was held on what could be the appropriate way out of the current difficult situation, how to resolve the crisis in the country, and how to bring the conflict within the party to a safe landing.
Similarly, there was a discussion on how to coordinate with the recent decision of the Congress Central Working Committee and the proposal of the special general convention raised by the general secretaries. The participants expressed their views on ways to bring both sides together on how to move the party forward in a united manner in the upcoming general elections.
A strong demand was also raised in the meeting on the issue of lifting the action taken by the party's disciplinary committee recently. The participants emphasized that the leaders who were taken action should be retained in the same positions.
All the leaders present were unanimous in concluding that moving forward together in the upcoming general elections is the need of the hour and necessity.
