Holding a special convention by mid-December is not only legally binding but also essential for unity and confidence within the party: General Secretary Thapa
Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa has said that a special convention will be held by mid-December. Sending best wishes on the occasion of 'National Unity and Reconciliation Day' on Wednesday, General Secretary Thapa said that a special convention of the Nepali Congress by mid-December is mandatory.
He also said that the party has moved forward on the path of convening a special convention by mid-May. 'Not through prohibition, not by ignoring different ideas - that unity can only emerge through the use of a common platform to express different opinions. That is what the special convention of the Congress is today. The act of holding a special convention by mid-May is not only legally binding but also essential for unity and confidence within the party,' said General Secretary Thapa.
Similarly, he called on everyone in the party to unite and said, 'It is the collective responsibility of every Congress worker today to make a Congress that can fulfill its responsibilities towards the nation. Therefore, we have moved forward on the path of convening a special convention by mid-May to fulfill this responsibility.'
