The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has placed Nisha Neupane, the daughter of Dandapani Neupane, one of the founding members of the Central Committee that launched the then Maoist armed war, on the proportional list. The party has placed her on the proportional list for women's Khas Arya.

Nisha Neupane's father, Dandapani Neupane, has been missing since he was arrested by plainclothes police from Sundhara, Kathmandu, on 2056 BS. Despite the pain of being disappeared, the Neupane family has continued to be active in Maoist politics.

Nisha, who holds a master's degree in education, joined the then Maoist party through student politics. She is currently a central member of the party and in-charge of Bharatpur Metropolitan City. She is also the central in-charge of the Disappeared Warrior Family Society.

Himalaya Dandapani Neupane Secondary School in Chitwan, founded by her father, is one of the community schools that produces excellent results in the district.
