The schedule for the 15th General Convention of the Nepali Congress has been affected. After the regular general convention could not be held as per the predetermined schedule, General Secretary Gagan Thapa has proposed a special general convention.

However, the establishment party has not been seen in favor of any general convention before the election. Due to which the predetermined schedule has not been revised.

The ward convention was scheduled to start from Wednesday. However, the active membership, who are the initial voters of the general convention, has not been finalized by the day the convention starts. All the districts have not come to the center after distributing and renewing their membership.

The previous meeting on November 15 had brought the schedule of conventions at all seven levels to hold the central convention from December 26-28.

By December 14, all the work of active membership had been completed and the ward convention was held from December 16, the village and municipality convention on December 17, the provincial assembly regional convention on December 19, the House of Representatives regional convention on December 21, and the district convention for districts with only one House of Representatives constituency and the convention for districts with more than two House of Representatives constituencies was scheduled for December 22.

The schedule was to hold the central convention from December 26-28 after the provincial convention on December 23 and 24.
