Dissatisfaction has increased in the UML after none of the leaders and activists recommended by CPN-UML Rupandehi were included in the proportional list. UML Rupandehi had recommended 12 names from different clusters from Rupandehi for the proportional list. However, criticism of the party leadership has increased saying that none of their names were included.
According to a leader of the UML district committee, UML had recommended Nandikeshar Dhakal, Bhumilal Sapkota, and Buddhisagar Bhattarai for the proportional representation from Rupandehi, Goma Acharya for women, Sunita Thater for Madhesi, Ejaz Alam for Muslims, Khushiram Chaudhary for Tharu, Ekraj Bishwakarma and Joglal Bishwakarma for Dalits, Khemraj Gurung for indigenous people, Hiramaya Thapa for indigenous women, and Sabitra Ghimire for the disabled. None of their names have been included in the proportional representation list. UML Rupandehi chairman Yagya Gaire said that it is sad that no one's name has been included in the proportional representation list from the entire district. 'I don't think the information that no one's name has been included from Rupandehi is true,' he said, 'If that is the case, then it is sad.' I understand.' He said that if even one person from a district with more than two lakh voters is not included, it will not harm the entire party.
However, Manju Bhusal, a member of the Lumbini Province Committee of the CPN-UML, and Shraddha Kunwar, a central member of the Youth Union, have been included in the proportional list from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. A leader said that Kunwar was included from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Bhusal from Kulman's party. Bhusal, who was defeated in the selection of representatives at the 11th general convention of the UML, remained active in the UML until last Monday. Kunwar, who worked as a central member of the Youth Union, announced that she had left the Youth Union after the Gen-G movement and protests on Bhadra 23 and 24. Gyanu Paudyal, who was included in the proportional list of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, is also a former UML worker.
