Leaders including Congress central member Man Bahadur Nepali have been included in the list of candidates for the House of Representatives from 8 out of 10 districts and 12 constituencies in Karnali province.
Former chairman of the National Dalit Commission, Nepali, is from Rukum West. He was included in the proportional list before too, but could not become an MP.
Most of the leaders included in the proportional list by the Congress have not become MPs before.
According to the Congress list, Goma KC from Dolpa, Dhruba Bahadur Malla from Salyan, Rom Rokaya from Mugu and Kali Bahadur Sahakari from Kalikot have become proportional candidates. Sahakari is the Karnali Province Vice President. Similarly, Parbati Kumari Giri from Surkhet, Tara Bahadur Lama from Humla, Hazari Nepali (Badi) from Jajarkot and Saraswati Shrestha from Dailekh have represented the closed list for proportional representation. Hazari is an alumni leader.
