Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav has said that the government has ignored Gen-G's demand for amending the constitution before the elections.

Addressing a gathering in Janakpur on Monday, he mentioned that the youth are demanding that the constitution be amended first and then elections.

He expressed dissatisfaction saying that the government had made an agreement with the youth only a few days ago but had not taken any steps forward. He said that the government had betrayed the agitating youth.

‘The constitution should be amended before the elections. The demands made by the young generation, the government has made an agreement with the young generation on issues including constitutional amendment. That has not moved forward at all. The agitating youth have been betrayed. The youth have been made fun of. However, elections are important in a democracy. We are ready to contest elections. We are ready to fight for the rights of the people,’ he said.
