RSVP's talks with Kulman inconclusive, talks to resume

The talks with Kulman Ghising, in an attempt to bring him into the National Independent Party (NISP), have been inconclusive. After the talks that were held late on Sunday evening failed to reach a conclusion, it was agreed to hold another round of talks.

At the Kathmandu Metropolitan City office, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Rabi Lamichhane and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah spoke to Ghising. However, the leaders left after the meeting did not come out immediately, a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader told Kantipur.

'There has been talk between them to continue the dialogue,' he added.

After a discussion that lasted for 7 hours on Saturday night, Balendra had reached an understanding that the government and Ravi would lead the party. While the discussion was going on at midnight, attempts were made to call Kulman. However, he did not pick up the phone.

Kulman had reached Pokhara on Sunday and said that he was ready to cooperate without losing his respect. The talks were held with him upon his return to Kathmandu.

There is also pressure from members and office bearers of the Ujjaya Nepal Party, which is Kulman's patron, to unite with Balendra and Ravi. Sumana Shrestha, who left the RSS, had said that the responsibility of uniting Kulman in unity lies with Ravi and Balendra.
