In the House of Representatives elections, candidates themselves or the relevant political party will be allowed to conduct election campaigning through mass media within the prescribed limits.
The election code of conduct has provided the facility of campaigning for candidates and political parties through television, radio and newspapers, setting certain limits. According to the code of conduct, parties and candidates will be allowed to campaign on TV and radio a maximum of four times in 24 hours.
Such campaigning material will be allowed to be broadcast for only one minute at a time. There is a provision that after one broadcast, the next broadcast should be made only after an interval of one hour.
Similarly, while campaigning through newspapers, the code of conduct has provided a provision that campaigning material can be published in any newspaper in a size of a maximum of four columns in width and up to 25 centimeters in height every day.
Similarly, political parties or candidates will also be allowed to campaign on listed online media. There is a provision that up to one minute of audio-visual material can be broadcast on online media.
For political parties, the code of conduct has provided the facility to promote election campaigns through roadblocks, content blocks, home pages, banners, detail page banners, and box advertisements (in the middle of news) on online media.
According to the code of conduct, election-related campaign materials cannot be published or broadcast through foreign media.
