The Election Commission has approved the Election Code of Conduct-2082. Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari informed that the meeting of the Commission held on Sunday approved the code of conduct for the House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21.
The code of conduct states that a party or candidate can use only a maximum of ten national flags during a procession, public meeting, corner meeting, door-to-door meeting, meeting or any kind of rally during the election campaign. In addition, the code of conduct prohibits the use of propaganda in the name of any religion during the election.
Similarly, the code of conduct also states that vehicles with foreign number plates cannot be used for propaganda. For that, a maximum of 2 two-wheelers, three-wheelers or four-wheelers can be used with the permission of the election officer. Similarly, a maximum of 4 horses can be used in places where vehicles are not allowed.
Similarly, political parties have to submit the names of two main campaigners (star campaigners) to the commission for propaganda. Only two star campaigners permitted by the commission will be allowed to use helicopters.
