The Ujjaya Nepal Party (UNEP) and the Sarvodaya Party (SP) have announced an electoral alliance. The alliance was announced at a program organized in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

Both parties have decided to jointly contest the elections using the election symbol of the Ujjaya Nepal Party, 'Baleko Chim', based on mutual agreement.

An agreement has been reached between UNEP Chairman Anup Kumar Upadhyay and SP Chairman Deepak Kumar Sah for electoral unity. UNEP, which claims to have Energy Minister Kulman Ghising as its patron, was announced on November 17.

Similarly, Janmat Party split and Deepak Kumar Sah formed Janaswaraj Party. That party was later registered with the Election Commission as Sarvodaya Party.

This is the agreement between UNEP and SP

• 1. In the House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21, 2082, both parties will jointly participate and field candidates using the registration, organizational structure and 'Baleko Chim' election symbol. The final nomination will be decided on the basis of the public effectiveness and honesty of the nominee.
• 2. Prepare an election manifesto jointly, including publicity, public relations, resource mobilization, and volunteer mobilization. The manifesto will focus on issues such as good governance, transparency, stable government, Madhesh and remote areas-focused development, constitutional amendment, state restructuring, citizen employment, education, health, and social justice, federalism, and inclusiveness.
• 3. If any dispute arises, a joint meeting of the top leaders of both parties will resolve it and keep the path of unity and polarization open even among progressive alternative forces.
