Intensive dialogue with political parties necessary for peaceful elections: NCP

The NCP has urged the government to create an environment to ensure peaceful participation in the elections by increasing dialogue with political parties at the grassroots level.

Speaking to media persons at the party's central office in Parisdanda on Tuesday, leader Barshaman Pun said that such an appeal has been made. He also said that the party has expressed its full support and commitment to the dialogue committee formed by the government to hold the election on the announced date.

On Tuesday, Minister for Communications Jagdish Kharel and Minister for Law Anil Kumar Sinha had spoken to leaders including NCP Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal during a monitoring visit to the party office. Leader Pun said that during the meeting, the ministers also urged Coordinator Dahal to take the initiative to bring political parties together.

'During the meeting, Coordinator Prachanda urged that we create an environment for peaceful participation in the election by holding dialogue with political parties at the people's level as much as possible,' Pun said.

Pun also said that the party is holding dialogue with all political parties regarding the election of members of the House of Representatives.
