Oli, who became UML President for the third time since the 11th General Convention, accompanied General Secretary Shankar Pokharel to Deuba's residence. Deuba has been living in Maharajgunj since his house in Budhanilkantha was damaged by fire during the Gen-G movement. Congress leader Arju Deuba Rana also participated in the meeting.
The meeting between Oli and Deuba, which took place at a time when the election date was approaching and the issue of the writ petition filed by Congress-UML in the Supreme Court demanding the restoration of Parliament was being discussed, is being viewed as meaningful. Earlier, UML President Oli had also gone to meet Deuba with his wife Radhika Shakya on November 10.
