UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that his party is not a party that will burn down Singha Durbar while waving the national flag.

Addressing the first meeting of the party's Central Committee elected by the 11th General Conference on Friday, Chairman Oli said that the UML is a democratic, true communist party and that every member of it must work under strict discipline.

He also warned the party leaders and cadres not to go against the policies drawn from the collective efforts of the party. Chairman Oli also said that activities against national interests by any member of the party will not be tolerated.

What did Oli say?

A true communist party like the UML. This is not a fake cover like burning Singha Durbar under a flag, a fake party with other functions. Such a party really needs strong discipline. I want to tell the comrades - our party is a democratic party. Therefore, every person is free. Every person is free to study, think, think, draw their own conclusions. And contribute.

But unlike the party's policies and decisions, the party's policies and decisions, which have been drawn from our collective strength and efforts, are in the name of freedom, in the name of their studies and conclusions. It is not okay to use my personal interests against those collective efforts, my personal interests against the collective interest, my personal interests against the national interest. That is not called discipline. And it is not discipline either. Mobile phones should not be used in meetings.
