Newly elected UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has expressed his commitment to take the party forward with a spirit of unity. Addressing the first meeting of the newly elected party central committee, Chairman Oli said that he will take the party to new heights with a spirit of unity.

He also claimed that no such weakness would be allowed in the coming days, mentioning that there were some problems in the party. He also warned the leaders in the newly elected Central Committee to move forward in unison according to the ideological, organizational and programmatic policies set by the party's Legislative General Convention.

'We will move forward to new heights with a sense of unity. Some problems have appeared within the party from time to time. We hope that none of such weaknesses will appear in the coming days. We should have one voice. We will move forward in accordance with the ideological, organizational and programmatic policies passed by the Second Legislative General Convention. And we will move forward in unison in those policies, so that our hands and feet move in unison, just like the army marches in a parade.'

Chairman Oli also instructed the party leaders and cadres to form security committees in the neighborhoods and work for the safety of the people.
