The election schedule set for the selection of the central leadership under the ongoing 11th General Convention of the CPN-UML has been revised.
The party's Central Election Commission has announced that the revised election program will be implemented with a schedule including date and time.
According to the revised schedule, the distribution of candidate application forms has been done at the general convention venue from 9 am to 2 pm today. The time for registering candidate application forms has been fixed until 3:30 pm.
After the application registration is completed, the preliminary list of candidates will be published at 4 pm today. The time for filing complaints against the preliminary list has been fixed from 4 pm to 4:30 pm. The investigation and decision on the complaint will be completed by 5 pm, while the names of candidates can be withdrawn from 5 pm to 6 pm, the Election Commission has stated.
Similarly, the final list of candidates will be published by 6:30 pm.
According to the revised schedule, voting will be held tomorrow, Tuesday from 11 am to 5 pm. The counting of votes will begin on the same day after the voting is completed.
After the counting of votes, the announcement of election results, distribution of certificates and oath-taking programs will be held at the general convention venue as per the time specified by the election committee, according to a notice issued by Kunsang Lama, Secretary of the Central Election Commission.
