UML General Convention: Election schedule changed again

The election program for the 11th General Convention of the UML has been revised again. According to the Central Election Commission, the program from the publication of the final list of candidates to voting has changed.

Earlier, the final list of candidates was to be published at 8 pm, but it has been postponed to 9:30 pm on Monday. Similarly, voting will be held from 1 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday. 

Earlier, the voting time was fixed from 11 am to 5 pm on Tuesday.

2,262 delegates are participating in the general convention. The competition for the new leadership is between current Chairman KP Sharma Oli and Senior Vice Chairman Ishwor Pokharel.

Voting will be held through electronic voting machines. Earlier, electronic voting machines were also used in the 10th National Convention held in Chitwan.
