KP Sharma Oli and Ishwar Pokharel have registered their candidacies for the post of CPN-UML chairman.

The candidacy registration process is ongoing during the closed session of the general convention being held at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu. According to the Election Commission, 1,300* forms have been distributed so far to select 2,265 representatives.

According to the revised schedule, the preliminary list of candidates will be published at 4 pm today after the registration of applications is completed . The time for filing complaints against the preliminary list has been fixed from 4 pm to 4:30 pm . The investigation and decision on the complaint will be completed by 5 pm, while the names of candidates can be withdrawn from 5 pm to 6 pm, the Election Commission has stated.

The final list of candidates will be published by 6:30 pm .
