The Nepali Congress has recommended the names of eight candidates from Bhaktapur Constituency No. 2 for the House of Representatives elections.

Regional President Bhesh Bahadur Karki informed that the meeting of Congress Bhaktapur Constituency No. 2 decided to recommend the names of 8 aspirants after they could not reach a consensus on one person.

For Bhaktapur Constituency No. 2, it was decided to recommend the names of District President and outgoing House of Representatives member Durlav Thapa, District Member Kabir Rana, General Convention Representative Ashtakumar Kave, Central Member Madan Krishna Shrestha, Mahasamiti Member Rajankaji Twanti, Mahasamiti Member Uddhav Silwal, General Convention Representative Santosh Bhattarai and Regional Secretary Sabin Dhungel, Regional President Karki said.

Durlav Thapa is the Bhaktapur District President who was elected twice in the 13th and 14th General Conventions. Similarly, he was elected from Constituency No. 2 in the House of Representatives election held in 2079 BS. Similarly, former district president Ganesh Chakradhar, former deputy mayor of Madhyapurthimi Municipality Murari Acharya, Santosh Kochar have been recommended for the proportional representation category, and Mahasamiti member and former deputy mayor of Madhyapurthimi Anjana Madhikarmi have been recommended for the women's category, informed Regional President Karki.
