Nepali Communist Party leader Bhim Rawal has said that the party has reached the doorsteps of the people by focusing on national interest, good governance, and prosperity.
Addressing the 'Party Unity Message Assembly' organized at Bus Park in Dadeldhura headquarters on Wednesday, he clarified that the NCP has come up with an alternative path to end the growing political instability, economic recession and impact on people's livelihoods in the country.
He said that in recent years, the country has been pushed backward due to the weakness of political leadership, unreliable decision-making process and the dominance of the status quo over development. Saying that today, the daily lives of the people are being affected due to unstable politics, leader Rawal mentioned that corruption, unequal treaties and agreements have harmed the interests of the nation. He said that the main solution to such problems cannot be anything other than good governance and strong political resolve.
He claimed that the NCP has succeeded in integrating 16 political groups and parties from different streams and backgrounds with the aim of 'taking the country in a new direction'. He said that the NCP was established with the aim of putting the interests of the nation first, correcting the mistakes of the past, and contributing to the interests of the country as a unified party.
Rawal has said that the main basis of the country's economic transformation is industrialization. His argument was that the dream of a prosperous Nepal can be fulfilled only if natural resources, manpower and intelligence are utilized properly. He emphasized that employment and prosperity are possible only by utilizing the country's resources and skills for the development of this motherland and emphasizing industry, agriculture, infrastructure and skill-based production.
Speaking at the program, Rawal mentioned that among the major agendas put forward by the party, good governance, corruption control, review of unequal treaties, economic self-reliance and improvement in people's livelihood have been given top priority. He said that since political conflict, distrust and division weaken the country, only politics of unity and clear objectives can be a long-term solution.
