CPN (UML) Chairman and outgoing Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that Prime Minister Sushila Karki is pressuring him to arrest him.
Speaking at a program organized at the party headquarters in Chyasal on Saturday, Oli also claimed that Prime Minister Karki had changed the leadership of the Money Laundering Department to arrest him.
He also said that after Prime Minister Karki repeatedly pressured the Money Laundering Department to arrest him, he transferred the head of the department and brought in a person of his choice.
Chairman Oli also accused the government of doing something that should not have been done by recalling the ambassador.
He said, "The Prime Minister says - prepare evidence, prepare evidence. I have said in many places - the Prime Minister called the head of the Money Laundering Department and put pressure on him three times to file a case, collect evidence, do something, and demand that he be arrested." The director there said - I cannot do such a false thing, I cannot do such an illegal thing, it is not in the law, and I cannot do such a thing as an employee. Now, if someone can, he would have brought in such a person, and the director was immediately removed from there. Another director has been brought in.'
Chairman Oli said that the government is illegitimate and should not bring in ordinances.
