The Ishwor Pokharel faction of the UML has objected to the selection of representatives in Dhankuta, Dang, Okhaldhunga and other districts, saying that they were not fair.
Pokharel, Vice Presidents Yubaraj Gyawali, Ashtalakshmi Shakya, Surendra Pandey, Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai met President KP Sharma Oli in Gundu and expressed their objections.
‘We have expressed our objection to arbitrary decisions being made outside the rules in the selection of delegates, and to the cancellation of results in the areas where the elections were held,’ said Vice President Pandey, ‘We have drawn attention to the fact that this raises questions about the fairness of the general convention.’
He said that they have received complaints about irregularities in the selection of delegates to the general convention in 15 districts.
