A unity declaration meeting of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) is being held in Biratnagar, Morang today. Three former Prime Ministers Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Madhav Kumar Nepal, and Jhalanath Khanal, along with other NCP leaders, are jointly addressing the meeting.
It is said that these top leaders will address the current situation of the country, nationalism, good governance and corruption from a common platform in Biratnagar, which is considered politically sensitive.
According to a leader, the meeting to be held in Gudri Bazaar in Biratnagar will focus on issues such as protecting the nation and nationality, upholding the constitution and the republic, solidarity in good governance and employment campaigns, public participation to end corruption, commitment to institutionalize the voice of the Gen-G movement, and creating an environment for the upcoming elections.
The joint presence of the top leaders is seen as a 'sign of left unity and reactivation of national politics'. Leaders and workers from 14 districts of Koshi Province will be present at the meeting.
