The NCP (United) has demanded that the government create an environment where the elections announced on Falgun 21 will be fair and fear-free.

The first meeting of the reorganized CPN-UM and the Samyukta after their merger on Thursday has urged them to focus on the election.

‘We demand that the election on Falgun 21 be fair, free and fearless,’ Samyukta has urged the government, ‘We demand that the government create employment opportunities in Nepal to create an environment where Nepali youth can earn a living. We demand that the government make arrangements for the safety and proper remuneration of those employed abroad and take action against those who cheat in the name of foreign employment.’

Samyukta has demanded that government services be completely taken online. ‘We demand that the people be freed from the suffering and bribery that they are facing,’ it said, ‘We demand that the security of industrialists and businessmen who are investing in Nepal and operating industries be guaranteed.’

It has also demanded that the government take immediate action against the directors and non-directors of cooperatives who are looting people’s money and make arrangements for the government to immediately return the money of small depositors. ‘The increase in the prices of goods in the uncontrolled market has made the lives of the common people very difficult. Therefore, we demand from the government to control inflation and create an environment for easy living,’ the party said.

The CPN (Unified) has urged the left-wing parties to carry out a reorganization and transformation campaign in accordance with the spirit of the Gen-G movement.

‘It is necessary to strengthen the left-wing movement to protect the federal democratic republic and prepare the basis for building a socialist system in Nepali society. Therefore, we urge the leftist parties of Nepal to take forward the reorganization and transformation campaign, absorbing the spirit of the current Gen-G movement,' the joint statement said, 'We call for cooperation among the leftist democratic forces of Nepal to defeat all kinds of conspiracies of reactionary, revivalist, and imperialist forces to protect the constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic.'

The joint statement has demanded that the government investigate and take action against those responsible for the then government who ordered the brutal suppression of the peaceful Gen-G movement.
