Nepali Communist Party Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the unity rallies being held in all seven provinces are also a platform for self-criticism.
At the Lumbini Province-level Unity Message Assembly held in Lamahi, Dang on Saturday, he said that the party is organizing the assembly with a commitment to correct the shortcomings of the past and work more firmly for nationalism, independence, and freedom. 'Where did we go wrong in development, where did we fail to solve the problems of the people? This is also an assembly to explore, correct, and self-criticize the shortcomings of such things,' said Coordinator Dahal.
He said that they are also using the assembly as a resolution to unite among the 15 communist parties in the country and accept the shortcomings of the past and be more committed to serving the people. Coordinator Dahal believed that unity is necessary to prevent the repetition of past weaknesses and to strengthen relations with the oppressed communities and fight another battle.
Coordinator Dahal said, 'This unity is not for winning the election, but for defending the nation, for the freedom of the people, and for ending foreign interference. The country has never been in a crisis like the one we are facing now. We saw the destruction of Bhadra 24, has it made the sovereign citizen and the state machinery so weak? Is the state in a state that cannot save all that destruction? This is a very extraordinary situation. Learning from this, we have changed ourselves and come forward with a collection to make any sacrifice for the people.'
Co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal, leaders Bamdev Gautam, Bhim Rawal, Barshaman Pun, Rekha Sharma, Chiran Pun and others addressed the meeting.
