The number of political parties duly registered with the Election Commission has reached 139. 21 new political parties have been added in the last one month.

Among the parties listed in the commission, 108 political parties have re-registered their parties to contest the House of Representatives elections.

The deadline for party registration for election purposes has been set for Sunday. The registration process of some more new parties is in the final stages. If they are registered and re-registered to participate in the elections, the number of parties participating in the House of Representatives elections to be held on 21 Falgun will increase.
