An agreement on unity was reached between NCP coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Janata Samajwadi Party federal chairman Rajendra Shrestha at the National Assembly.
A unity has been announced between the Nepali Communist Party and the Janata Samajwadi Party unification group, the Janajagran Party Nepal, the CPN (Maoist) rebel group, and the CPN (Maoist) rebel group.
The agreement on unity was reached between NCP coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Janata Samajwadi Party federal president Rajendra Shrestha at the National Assembly.
Janata Samajwadi Party federal president Shrestha and other leaders have joined the NCP. JSP president Ashok Rai's faction, however, did not join the unity.
Earlier, after the unity between Madhav Nepal-led CPN-S and the Maoist Center, various communist components have joined the new NCP.
