The Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal, led by Upendra Yadav, is holding protests and rallies across the country today.

JSP Nepal is going to protest demanding the implementation of 28-point demands including constitutional amendment, state restructuring, making provinces autonomous and empowered, and ensuring fair representation of Dalits and women. 

Chairman Upendra Yadav informed that there is a program to hold protests, corner meetings, and mass mobilizations in cities and market areas of each parliamentary constituency today. 

He said that they will continue the protest until the demands are implemented. According to him, the protest programs have been decided for the first phase till Poush 17.  The JSP had submitted a 28-point demand letter to the government and drew its attention for its implementation.

JSP has demanded that parliamentary and provincial elections be scheduled based on population, an executive presidential system directly elected by the people, and a parliament with proportional inclusive representation.

Similarly, it has demanded that the upcoming elections be based on a fully proportional electoral system.
