Former General Secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal, who has been in the executive position of UML for about 15 years, has reached Parisdanda after wandering around. The Nepali Communist Party (NCP), formed after the merger of the former Maoist Center and the CPN-Unified Socialist Party and other components, has established a well-equipped office for Nepal at Parisdanda, the central office near Tinkune in Kathmandu.

There are well-equipped offices for both NCP Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Co-Coordinator Nepal. Both have their own secretaries and waiting rooms outside their offices.

The Maoist office was damaged by vandalism on Bhadra 24, the next day of the Gen-G movement. The office that came into operation after the repairs has now been converted into an AC-equipped office for the NCP Coordinator and Co-Coordinator. There are no other office bearers in the NCP.

Ganeshman Pun, Chief Secretary of the NCP Central Office, said that Nepal has moved from Aloknagar to Parisdanda. ‘We have repaired the central office that was damaged after the arson on Bhadra 24 and have now converted it into an office for the Coordinator and Co-Coordinator,’ he said. ‘Co-Coordinator Madhav Nepal has recently moved from Aloknagar to Parisdanda.’

Pun said that paintings reflecting revolution and change, as well as other decorations, will be made in the offices of the Coordinator and Co-Coordinator. Offices have not been built for senior NCP leaders Jhalanath Khanal, Bamdev Gautam, Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Bhim Rawal. Rooms have been prepared for the Central Secretariat meetings.

With the formation of the Nepali Communist Party, there has been an increase in activity in Parisdanda. The House of Representatives elections on Falgun 21 and the movement of candidates has increased. The Parisdanda building, which was damaged after the arson on Bhadra 24, has been repaired and the hall that houses the secretariat and standing committee members has been reconstructed.

Meetings of NCP co-coordinators Nepal have started taking place in Parisdanda. Since the NCP has its own office, there is no need to pay rent. Coordinator Dahal, who went to inspect the central office on Bhadra 24 in the first week of Asoj, had said that a ‘magnificent’ building would be built with the help of everyone.

Chief Secretary Pun said that Coordinator Dahal has started holding most of his meetings at the central office. He has been living in Hattivan since his residence in Khumaltar, Lalitpur was set on fire on Bhadra 24.

Coordinator Dahal, who is also a former Prime Minister, and Co-Coordinator Nepal have a shared office on the second floor of the building. Nepal, who was the main leader of the country's largest communist party, UML, for about 14 years, became Dahal's 'co-commander' after reaching Parisdanda. The then UML's well-equipped central office in Balkhu was demolished after being damaged by the 2072 BS earthquake. When he was the UML general secretary, there was a well-equipped office for Nepal in Balkhu.

After splitting from UML in Bhadra 2078 BS, the Unified Socialist Party was formed under the leadership of Nepal. A new NCP was formed after uniting with the Maoists on Kartik 18 without confirming the justification for the UML split. Dahal and Nepal, who had traveled together in the NCP formed when the UML and Maoists united in Jestha 2075 BS, have once again reached the leadership of the same party. The then CPN (Maoist) was split in Falgun 2077 by a Supreme Court order and the UML and Maoists were revived.

After the death of the then UML General Secretary Madan Bhandari in a mysterious jeep accident in Dasdhunga, Chitwan on 30 Jestha 2050, the Central Committee meeting elected Madhav Kumar Nepal as the General Secretary. After that, he became the powerful General Secretary of the UML.

He was elected General Secretary from the sixth general convention held in Magh 2054 and the seventh general convention held in Magh 2059. He was elected as a senior leader from the eighth general convention held in Falgun 2065. After KP Sharma Oli was elected as the President from the ninth general convention held in Asar 2071, Nepal was becoming politically weak.

The CPN (Maoist) central office is on 5 ropanis

After the Maoists bought an additional 8 aanas of land in Magh 2080, the land of the central office in Parisdanda has reached 5 ropanis. The purchase of 8 annas of land outside the main gate of the central office for Rs 57.728,0750 was mentioned in the annual financial statement of the party's internal audit.

The then Maoist Central Office Chief Secretary and Treasurer Shriram Dhakal had said that the land was purchased from the levy of MPs and party members. The land attached to the canteen on the left side of the party office building was purchased. The Maoists had purchased the land from senior advocate Devraj Katuwal. They had also purchased 12 annas from him earlier.

The Maoists had acquired the building with 2 ropanis and 8 annas of land in 2065 BS through an auction conducted by the Rastriya Banijya Bank Central Office. The land and building were purchased in the name of the Maoist Workers' Organization under the initiative of the then President of the National Federation of Industries and Trade, Shiva Kattel.

Before the Maoists joined the peace process, the building where the Maoist Central Office was located was run by Bhim Bahadur Dhakwa, who ran a hotel. After the hotel business was halted due to the Maoist conflict, the commercial bank auctioned the building and land. At that time, the Maoists had obtained a loan and donation from the cooperative and acquired 2 ropanis 8 aanas of land from the bank for 27.4 million. A loan was taken from a cooperative in Lalitpur for the purchase of the building and land.
